What’s Autonomous World?

The concept of Autonomous Worlds originates from .

Autonomous worlds are virtual gaming environments where all player interactions and digital assets are stored on the blockchain. They facilitate novel gaming experiences and genres by aligning the incentives of developers, modders, and players.

Strictly speaking, there is no specific and absolute definition of an autonomous world. It's somewhat philosophical. The only consensus is that an autonomous world must have an operational rule that is absolutely unbreakable.

What are these?

UGC gaming refers to video games that allow players to create, share, and monetize their own content within the game environment. This includes designing characters, levels, items, or even entire game modes that can be used by other players. UGC gaming platforms often provide tools and resources that simplify the content creation process, enabling a broader audience to participate in game development.

Create-to-Earn (C2E) is a monetization model that allows users to create and sell digital content, typically in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), on blockchain platforms. This model empowers content creators by providing them with a fair and transparent way to earn rewards for their creative efforts. Users can design various digital assets—such as art, music, or virtual items—and mint them as NFTs, which can then be sold or traded. The C2E model is closely associated with the rise of decentralized platforms and metaverses, where creators can monetize their work directly through peer-to-peer transactions rather than relying on traditional centralized systems.

On-chain games are digital games that utilize blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and ownership of in-game assets. In these games, player actions, transactions, and game states are recorded on a blockchain, making them immutable and verifiable. This allows players to truly own their assets, such as characters or items, which can be traded or sold outside the game environment. The integration of smart contracts often enables decentralized governance and unique gameplay experiences.

Autonomous worlds refer to virtual environments or ecosystems that operate independently on blockchain technology. These worlds are characterized by autonomous systems where participants can interact, create, and trade without centralized control. The rules governing these worlds are encoded in smart contracts, allowing for dynamic changes based on community input or predefined conditions. This autonomy fosters creativity and collaboration among users, enabling the development of complex social structures and economies.

On-chain realities encompass the concept of integrating real-world assets and experiences into blockchain systems. This involves tokenizing physical assets (like real estate or commodities) to create digital representations on the blockchain. On-chain realities aim to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds, allowing for seamless transactions and interactions that leverage the security and transparency of blockchain technology. This can also include aspects of decentralized finance (DeFi) and real-world applications that utilize blockchain for tracking ownership, provenance, and value exchange.

In AW, the concept of 'Autonomy' is community-driven, we're not DAW (Decentralized Autonomous World), it's not an operation of CHIC Cosmonaut; it's centralized. However, DAOs (Affiliated organizations) can promote decentralization."

What are the differences between a Autonomous World and a Metaverse?

Through dialectics, we believe that the autonomous world is indeed the precursor to the metaverse. As stated by : "New forms of computation enable fundamentally new kinds of virtual worlds. Autonomous Worlds are not just worlds that happen to exist onchain, but worlds that could not exist otherwise." We do not envision the metaverse as a scenario where people "enter" games like in movies or animations. Instead, akin to the precursor of the "Open Metaverse" proposed by in 2023, we affirm that it is indeed the "Autonomous World ."

Don't hold my hand, let me figure it out myself (How to play?)

Creating your virtual life is like "atomic design"; you need to understand the rules first.

Reading Oracle: While "reading" might not feel like playing, it's everything in CHIC. We want players to understand the world they're stepping into. Because AW (especially CHIC) is inherently vast and abstract, the character count in Oracle Bone Script is relatively high compared to GameFi. The team understands that even Gen Z or Alpha may not enjoy reading too much, so we've tasked Dove AI with learning the Oracle Bone Script. We hope Dove AI will become your "newbie NPC guide," but we still recommend new players to read it. You can think of it as a "3C manual." After reading it, you'll understand "What is CHIC?" and even further, "What do we aim to build?"

CHIC is not a CC0 project, so please don't think that the "ecology" mentioned here is about taking CHIC's intellectual property to copy projects on your own. If it is an ecology expansion, it is only authorized to develop AI, applications, etc., for Oracle DLC after the DLC period, and plagiarism NFT projects is not allowed, please pay attention!

  • Your role requires leveraging the vocabulary of "Citizen NFT" akin to the Lootverse.

  • Your narrative needs to be crafted through the "Exchange Genesis Diaries," with support from Dove AI.

  • Your existence will gradually extend into "life elements" due to the expanding framework of the autonomous world.

No one tells you: how to act, what content to write; you're not confined to predefined role modules by operators. Everything stems from your imagination.

  • Your mission needs to be assigned or revised through "Application Tokens" akin to the prototype of autonomous agents.

Your virtual life isn't about crafting your existence within virtual spaces; you'll truly witness the birth of "parallel worlds" after the DLC emerges, as all simulations occur within "smart contracts."

Clarification: As mentioned earlier, decentralization is gradual due to regulatory issues. Non-profit projects should not be compared to enterprises, as their regulations are at different levels.

Players can operate Dove AI to participate in mission. It can also create AICG content and materialize CHIC characters, environments, props, etc. Whatever is created, whether it's graphics, animation, applications, AI, sounds, stories, proposals, and more, players can stand in the middle to execute the creation of the ecosystem, using whatever tools they prefer.

But. Now there is an emerging Autonomous Intelligent World (AIW)

As a "responsible" founder, I hope that CHIC continues to maintain its status as an "autonomous world" rather than rebranding as an "autonomous intelligent world," despite our significant integration of AI into the autonomous world.

Reason: AI should not be the primary reason users immerse themselves in CHIC.

We want you to stay because of enjoyment, not because of AI.

Immersion (Off-chain)

At first glance, CHIC's citizen NFTs may appear 100% like Loot, but based on the whitepaper, one can know this isn't Loot. The founder's initial concept was indeed "text-based," but as technology stacked and the "world expanded," the team recognized the importance of "visualization." Combined with future "glasses," the team believes that even if it's not a game space, "visualization" is crucial.

So we've adopted the advanced Wonderland Engine, hoping to achieve "browser VR".

In today's rapidly evolving generative AI technology, the team had to consider "the future look." CHIC's autonomous world differs greatly from FOCG. The team hasn't just insisted on "fully on-chain activities." We firmly believe that while digital asset flow should be on-chain, the "complex gamified logic of user interaction with digital assets" should be off-chain. This includes future user immersion.

Blockchain is a blank canvas, and autonomous worlds are just "framing" on this blank canvas.

Other gamified logic, except for on-chain finance, should be interchangeable across three domains: blockchain, artificial intelligence, and on-chain finance.

Finally, let me use a quote from Peter's paper as a call to action: Rather than dreaming of blockchain or games alone, there's an opportunity here to convey a vision that combines all of the above into a unified experience - the world itself. By doing so, we can unapologetically tell the story of a new fantasy world full of fun, weirdness, and chaos.

Hello, World

Just as we hope Dove AI could be like Nvidia's first digital human "James," exploring digital human development in Dove AI is unlikely to be on-chain. Just as blockchain can't replace the internet, the team believes there's no "must be entirely on-chain" approach. However, all CHIC NFTs must be fully tradable on-chain, although digital assets aren't "stored on-chain" but on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). We treat blockchain as an alternative "transaction channel" and "server," as : "Blockchain has become a shared world that can influence each other." Ethereum provides people with an immersive, social, and meaningful game.

After explaining the game type, let's talk about the mechanisms. I think it's better to use visuals for illustration. But before that, a reminder: CHIC is a project that requires imagination and creativity.
